Rocco Forte Hotels is a family of 13 highly individual hotels and resorts, with four new properties due to open within the next three years. The Company runs five-star hotels e.g. in London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Berlin, Brussels, and Rome and believes in the “Art of Simple Luxury”.
Last year, Code and Concept (in collaboration with NDS8, a Novell partner based in the UK) implemented Novell Vibe at Rocco Forte Hotels to replace the old custom-built intranet system. We accompanied the hotel family through the whole process from concept and planning to implementation and training of the IT workforce. By using interactive and dynamic workflows and forms to rebuild and improve the old tools, it was possible to unify all necessary processes in one platform which boosted user experience and lowered usage barriers. And due to our training (and the competence of the IT staff), Rocco Forte Hotels was capable of developing their intranet further, plan and put up their own extranet securely and use the variety of Novell Vibe’s possibilities.
Since then, Rocco Forte Hotels has implemented Novell Filr and Novell iPrint with the support of NDS8, and made collaboration and printing even easier for both – internal staff and external contacts like customers or news agencies. Emmanuel Clavé, the group IT director of Rocco Forte Hotels, shares with us why he chose Novell Filr and iPrint, the biggest challenges and his solution.
